Chennai Express’ Actor Shahrukh Khan Announces on Twitter

One of Bollywood’s most successful actors, Shahrukh Khan, has already signed four new films for 2014. While SRK is already busy with a long schedule, will a “Main Hoon Na” sequel be in the works as well?

After a successful collaboration with Farah Khan in “Main Hoon Na” 10 years ago, it looks like SRK has expressed that he is interested in doing a sequel of the 2004 movie.

“Farah Khan let’s make a sequel after ‘Happy New Year’...‘Main Hoon Na!’ Only bathing scenes and the whole film shot in a tub,” said King Khan on Twitter.

Perhaps the two were just remembering the anniversary of Farah’s first film which made her directorial debut on April 30, 2004.

“Sorry will pakao (bore) you all today with nostalgia about ‘Main Hoon Na’...In a senti mood today,” tweeted Farah. “Thank you SRK for changing the course of my life.. In so many ways with MHN.”

While we might not see a sequel of the romantic drama soon, Farah and SRK are teaming up once again for “Happy New Year,” which is set to wrap up soon and will release towards the end of the year.

Khan has also started preparing for “Fan” and hinted that he will be playing the biggest fan himself in the forthcoming film, which begins shooting July 2014.

The actor has begun to work on the film, showing off his new look created by special effects makeup artist Greg Cannom, who spent a considerable amount of time working on SRK’s new identity.

“We are attempting a never-seen before look for Shah Rukh which will be both challenging for us and exciting for the viewer,” said Maneesh Sharma, director of the film. “Understandably, this will be kept under wraps till the first look of the film is revealed.”

Cannom has been nominated for nine Academy Awards and won an Oscar three times for the looks he created in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Mrs. Doubtfire” and “Dracula.”

While “Fan isn’t expected to release until Aug. 14, 2015, Khan is also working on Rahul Dholakia’s “Raees.”
